Chess is a board game played between two players. The current form of the game emerged in Southern Europe during the second half of the 15th century after evolving from a similar, much older game of Indian origin. Today, chess is one of the world’s most popular games, played by millions of people worldwide at home, in clubs, online, by correspondence, and in tournaments. (wikipedia.org)

I wish you to know that there are 3 parts, or sessions in chess:
First, Opening. In this session: your intention is to develop your pieces (particularly bishops and knights), take charge in the central squares, and save the king (usually within your 8 early moves). There are hundres of Opening with different characters. Such as Ruy Lopez (Spain), Italian, Sicillian Defense, England, France, kind of Gambits, Stonewall (Berlin) and lots more. The character may agressive, positional, closed, or whatever. Just find the Opening(s) best describe you and learn deeply.

Secondly, Middlegame. I define it as how creative you can get in charge in the game by little or big advantages you can get. Here’s the time you may combine, attack, or even defense (depends on how you play) to get your only intention, WIN.

Last, Endgame. Your victory is depend on this. When your Opening was good and combines worked, all you have to do is kill your rival and finish the game. One thing you got to do with Endgame is practice. The more you play, the more you increase your Ending knowledge. But the mainline is you know how to kill.
